Phil Praying

This is a depressing picture...I actually didnt like making once I got started..but..its part of Jakes life..one of the key moments where he's hit rock bottom and the ONLY way up will be with Gods help.

Its a scene from my story "The Making of a Commander"..heres the quote from it..


"Phil sat by Jakes bed. His shoulders sagged as he hunched over, one hand holding his down turned face, the other stretched out, resting on Jakes shoulder. He had his emotions mostly in check; he had gotten most of them out while Jake was in surgery. He had cried in his mothers arms while in the waiting room, something he hadnt done in years.
Jake had almost died on the way to the hospital, and on hearing that along with having seen and known what Jake had done, it had been too much, and the usual, cheery front he put up had been torn down, revealing his raw emotions.
Now he sat, deep in prayer. Jake had made it through surgery, and most of the damage to his hand had been repaired. The glass had missed all the major arteries and tendons, and would get almost all the use of it back when it healed. He was thankful for all this, but, his heart was still torn. Jakes life was a pain, but was it THAT bad to have done this?
He sunk his head further into his hand, a sob escaping him. He clenched his hand on Jakes shoulder, and prayed harder, thanking God for His saving Jakes life. He prayed for Him to use this to bring Jake to salvation, to use this terrible happening, and turn it around for good. He knew God allowed terrible things to happen, to seize people's hearts. He prayed in earnest that this was His plan, that if anything happened with this, that it could be further proof of Gods mysterious ways, that in darkness, there could be light."

I'm really not into beating up on him as of late..but..had to put it up
